You ARE HEROES!
In 2020, our last regular (In Person) meeting was February where the group chose to give funds raised to the Gresham Senior Center for a Quilting Machine which they have spent years saving for and our funds would put them over the top and give them the ability to make this dream a reality. However, due to Covid reality changed. The Senior Center was closed and lost their ability to raise the normal working capital they receive from weekly attendance and fundraisers. They had to use every bit of their savings, our contribution as well, to just keep the rent and other expenses paid, so there would still be a Senior Center at the end of the Pandemic. That being said, just recently a single benefactor made a generous contribution to pay for the Quilting Machine. So this story has a happy ending and one that the Senior Center will always be extremely grateful to “100+ Women Who Care Easy County” for saving the Center during this crisis.
